The Hays Recreation Commission is making the pitch for volunteers.

The HRC said today it remains three coaches short for the upcoming 9- and 10-year-old baseball season, which means 30 children signed up to play without a team.

“We don’t want to turn kids away, but without coaches they can’t play,” the HRC said.
