SALINA — A playground argument Tuesday evening resulted in a boy being arrested on allegations of aggravated assault and criminal threat.
Salina Police Capt. Mike Sweeney said officers were dispatched to the playground at Coronado Elementary School approximately 6:30 p.m. after an 11-year-old boy allegedly threatened four other children with a butterfly knife and threatened to get a gun from home.
Sweeney said the argument began when the four youngsters began to mess with the boy’s bike.
The boy was turned over to the custody of his parents.
