The Thomas More Prep Marian Monarch girls soccer  team improved to 3-2 Tuesday after a 9-2 victory over Word of Life out of Wichita at the Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complex.

The Monarchs overcame a slow start to build a 5-0 lead at the half. Sophomore Bailey Hageman took a pass from freshman Deonna Wellbrock to give TMP a 1-0 lead. Hageman scored three goals on the day. Wellbrock also scored three goals. Annaka Applequist scored twice and Megan Koenigsman once.

The Monarchs will play host to Maize on Monday.
