The Hays High Choral Music Department will have its 25th annual Chamber Singers Dinner Show at Hays High School next month. The theme of this year’s show is “Reflections.”
Shows will be May 8, 9 and 10, with seating beginning at 6:15 p.m. and dinner and music starting at 6:30 p.m. Dress is semi-formal, and the meal will be catered by Premier Catering of Hays.

The performance has been moved to Gym A, to provide guests with more room at their tables and ample space between tables, according to director Johnny Matlock.
Tickets for the show are $18 each, and orders will be accepted through May 2. Tickets can be picked up at the HHS office beginning May 5 or picked up the night of the show. Call (785) 623-2600 to reserve tickets.
Proceeds from the dinner show will be used to help fund the Chamber Singers’ 2014 trip to New York City, where the group will perform at Carnegie Hall, Matlock said.
That performance is scheduled for June 15, when the HHS group will join three other choirs and perform a 40-minute composition called “Requiem for the Living,” by Dan Forrest. Carnegie will provide professional orchestra and soloist for the event.
This will be the second time a Hays choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, the other being in 1989.
