FHSU student killed in Thursday night accident

ellis-county-sheriff-cropA 21-year-old Fort Hays State University student was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday night.

According to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:50 p.m., a Chevy pickup driven by Dylan Woodward of Belleville was traveling east in the 1300 block of Spring Hill Road when his vehicle collided with a Ford pickup traveling west.

Ellis County Sheriff Ed Harbin said in a news release Woodward was taken to Hays Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the Ford pickup, 21-year-old Thomas Rack of Ellis County, suffered minor injuries.
