The TMP-Marian softball team committed seven errors in a 7-1 game one loss in Ellinwood Thursday. They commit six more errors in the second game and lose 9-4. All seven of the Eagles runs in the first contest were unearned.

Jodi Veach drove in TMP’s lone run in the first game. TMP was down 6-0 in the second contest until scoring three in the fifth. Ellinwood answered with three in the bottom of the inning.

Alison Helget struck out six in the opener and five in the second game but takes the loss in both.

The Monarchs are now 5-9 on the season. They host Goodland Tuesday.
