The TMP-Marian baseball team scored 11 runs in both of their games at Goodland Friday, sweeping the Cowboys by scores of 11-8 and 11-2. The Monarchs jumped out early in the first game, scoring three in the first. Down 4-3, they score seven in the fourth and would never give up the lead. Liam Stults struck out five over five innings and picks up the win. Justin Pfeifer drove in five runs.
Like the first game, the Monarchs scored three in the first but this time they never let it slip away. They added four in the fourth. Braiden Werth had three of TMP’s 16 hits. Jordan Gottschalk drove in three. Cameron Brin struck out six and picks up the complete game victory.
The Monarchs are now 9-3. They host Russell/Victoria Tuesday.
