The sounds of folk Americana music infused with bluegrass and jazz will fill the Schmidt Gallery on Wednesday as musicians Stephanie Bettman and Luke Halpin stop by for a 6:30 p.m. concert.

The well traveled duo calls themselves Bettman and Halpin and have won numerous competitions including grand prize winners at So Cal Live Acoustic Music Competition and winner of Topanga Banjo/Fiddle Contest. They also were named in Music Connection’s Top 25 New Music Critiques. They have been traveling together since 2008 and describe their music as “up tempo, down home fiddlin’, soulful sorrowful ballads, and super hooky folk/pop.” (www.stephaniebettman.com)
