Equity Bank announced Monday that Ronan Sramek has joined the bank as mortgage loan officer in the bank’s western Kansas market.

Sramek is a seasoned mortgage lender in the Hays and Ellis communities. He joined Equity Bank on April 21 and is based in Equity Bank’s Hays office, 2428 Vine.

Sramek has more than 10 years of experience as a mortgage loan officer and 15-plus years of experience in banking, previously working for Commerce Bank and Sunflower Bank in Hays. Sramek will oversee mortgage lending for Equity Bank in Hays and Ellis, and will be involved in overall branch strategy and business development. Equity Bank entered the Hays and Ellis markets in 2008.

A native of western Kansas, Sramek is from McDonald and a graduate of TMP as well as Fort Hays State University. He and his wife remain involved with the Hays community. Equity Bank will host an open house to welcome Sramek at a date to be determined.
