The team at Lewis Toyota of Hays officially will unveil its new automobile dealership at a grand opening ceremony Friday, according to the automaker.

Lewis Toyota of Hays, which has served the Hays region since 1991, just completed an extensive renovation of its nearly 30,000-square-foot facility at 4400 Vine. It features a redesigned new car showroom as well as two comfortable customers’ lounges, children’s play area and Wi-Fi access. The service area is equipped with 18 high-tech service bays and a two-lane, enclosed service drive.
A contingent of Toyota officials will attend the ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday, which is open to the public. They include Paul Holdridge, vice president of sales/Toyota Division at Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A.; and Tony Mueller, general manager of TMS’ Kansas City sales region. During the event, Holdridge will present Lewis Toyota of Hays dealer principal Jim Lewis and his team with a ceremonial Japanese sword. The presentation of the Katana sword, from automaker to dealer, is a long-standing tradition at Toyota.
“We’d like to congratulate the team at Lewis Toyota of Hays on the completion of this fantastic, new facility,” Holdridge said. “We are confident that this state-of-the-art automotive center will benefit both new and loyal Toyota customers in the Hays region for many years to come.”
Lewis is a recipient of a 2013 Toyota Presidents Award, which is based on high marks in customer sales satisfaction, customer service satisfaction and parts volume.
