ELLSWORTH– Two people were injured in a Monday I-70 semi-truck crash.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Mercury Sedan driven by Carl E. Choitz, 70, Ellsworth was westbound on I-70 a half mile east of sixth road in the right lane, traveling between 60-65 miles per hour.

The vehicle was rear-ended by a west bound Volvo semi-truck driven by Anthony E. Pratt, 53, Chilhowee, Missouri.

The Mercury was pushed into the north ditch and the Semi-truck swerved to the left and entered the median where it overturned.

Choitz and Pratt were transported to the Ellsworth Medical Center. A passenger in the Mercury was not injured.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained.
