Bomb threat leads to search at Salina high school

Salina Post

SALINA — A search Monday turned up nothing after a note was found in an office at Salina Central High School saying there was a bomb in the school.

Police Capt. Mike Sweeney said the note was found about 11:30 a.m. Monday, and school officials and the school resource officer checked the school.

Sweeney said the note could be connected to a note found a couple of weeks ago threatening violence, along with a cellphone with a bullet hole. Both were also found in a school office.

Classes were not interrupted.
