National Day of Prayer will be observed on Thursday, sponsored by the Ellis County Ministerial Alliance.

The event will begin with breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. at Liberty Foursquare Church, 120 West Ninth.

Participants then will meet at noon on the west lawn of the Ellis County Courthouse.
