1:30 p.m UPDATE GREENSBURG—Two Oklahoma residents were killed in a Kiowa County crash on Wednesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chrysler driven by Diane Aurora Balch, 35, Weatherford, OK, was northbound on U.S. 183 one mile west of Greensburg and failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 54.
A 2015 Kenworth semi-truck driven by Anibal Ruiz-Figueroa, 58, Stratford, Texas, struck the vehicle.
Balch and a passenger in the Chrysler Donald Anthony Barrs, 27, also of Weatherford were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Fleener funeral home in Greensburg.
Ruiz-Figueroa refused transport to the hospital.
The KHP reported Balch and Barrs were not wearing seat belts.

GREENSBURG – Two people died in a Wednesday morning crash in Kiowa County. The KHP says the driver of the car was northbound on U.S. 183 and failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 54.
A Fed Ex semi-truck hit the car. The car’s driver and a passenger were killed. The semi-truck driver received minor injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol’s critical highway accident reconstruction team is still on the scene collecting evidence.
Names of the victims have not been released.
