CHERRYVALE–A Missouri man was killed in head on crash in Labette County on Wednesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 GMC truck driven by Dustin Ryan Summers, 29, Pleasant Hill, Mo., was southbound on U169 eight miles north of Cherryvale.

The truck went left of center, sideswiped a northbound Kenworth Dump Truck and struck a semi truck head-on.

Summers was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported from Cherryvale Funeral Home to Frontier Forensics in Kansas City.

No other injuries were reported.

The KHP reported Summers was properly restrained.
