The Ellis baseball team has lost four straight after they were swept in Hoisington Tuesday by scores of 15-0 and 2-1.
The Railers were held to one hit in the first game which ended after three innings by run rule. Scott Pfeifer takes the loss, allowing four earned runs on nine hits.
Brandon Bollig struck out 11 and allowed just one earned run in the second game and is the tough luck loser as the Cardinals score a run in the sixth to tie then another in the seventh for the comeback win.
The Railers were held to just three hits as they fall to 6-8 on the year.
