HAYS—Two people from Colorado were injured in a Friday motorcycle accident in Ellis County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Honda driven by Gary L. Jones, 69, Littleton, was eastbound on Interstate 70 2 miles west of Hays when the motorcycle blew a tire. The driver laid the motorcycle over on its side and it slid to a stop in the roadway.

Jones and a passenger Lynette M. Jones, 62, were transported to Hays Medical Center.

The KHP reported they were wearing helmets.
