Man found guilty of killing 2 Kansans

courtKANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas City, Kan., man has been convicted of shooting two people to death in March 2012.

A Wyandotte County jury on Friday found 21-year-old Eric D. Clay guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, aggravated battery and criminal discharge of a firearm. He will be sentenced July 14.

The Kansas City Star reports  16-year-old Renesha Jones and 21-year-old Keith E. Barrett died after the shootings at an apartment in Kansas City, Kansas. Barrett’s infant son was wounded.

Jones was the boy’s aunt and was babysitting him when they were shot.
