The sheriff’s office says 28-year-old Crystal Stauffer of Newton died after she was struck Tuesday on a road west of Newton in Harvey County.
She was a physical education teacher at Santa Fe Middle School in Newton. Stauffer had worked for the district since 2010 and was married last July.
