North Central Kansas Technical College will mark the 50th anniversary of the college with a series of events throughout the 2014-2015 academic year.
North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School began in August, 1964, in Beloit. The school expanded and established a satellite campus in Hays in 1974. The Vocational School became a Technical College in 1994, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and continues its commitment to high-quality technical education.
The anniversary celebration will begin on the Beloit campus on Aug. 23. Activities include a 5K Walk/Run in the morning and a “Golden Opportunities” dinner and auction in the evening. Individuals, businesses and alumni are invited to participate in the events, become an event sponsor or donate items for the auction.
