Cooler this weekend with a chance of rain

FilePleasant temperatures are expected today with highs in the 70s.

Late afternoon and early evening storms will be possible. Scattered storms may develop ahead of an upper level disturbance that will move through this afternoon and this evening. Severe weather is not expected.

More rain is forecast Sunday afternoon into Monday for the area. Monday is expected to be unseasonably cool for early June. Warmer weather will return on Tuesday.

We did receive .25 of an inch of rain from the rain last night at the Eagle Media Center.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Northeast wind 11 to 14 mph.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. North northeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Northeast wind 9 to 13 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 57. East southeast wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 73. North wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
