Kansas store owner charged with prostitution

sex traffickingTOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A Topeka massage parlor owner faces federal charges accusing him of bringing a woman from China to the U.S. for prostitution.

Yong Jin Zhang, owner of Life Long Foot Massage, is charged in federal court with knowingly transporting the woman to engage in prostitution.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Zhang and Yu Lan Su, manager of the store, also are charged with maintaining a house or place for prostitution. Their lawyers didn’t return calls seeking comment.

Court documents show that the two were arrested in May after the Topeka Police Department began investigating several Asian massage parlors in 2013.
