SALINA — Salina Police arrested a 20-year-old man Sunday morning after reportedly finding him asleep on the floor inside the Board of Trade building in east Salina.

Officers were sent to the offices of Wilson and Co., 1700 E. Iron, just after 7:30 a.m. on after a report of a burglary.

When they arrived, they found a door had been damaged. Police said Joshua Hatfield, Salina, was inside asleep with an opened bag of snack mix.

Hatfield was arrested on requested charges of burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and consumption of alcohol.

Damage to the door was estimated at just more $1,000.
