HUTCHINSON-An Inmate who walked away from his work release site in Chase last Saturday is back in jail.

The Kansas Department of Corrections reported Christopher Ward, 43, was arrested in Wichita Thursday night without incident.

He was taken into custody by a joint task force of Kansas Department of Corrections Special Agents,K-9 officers and U.S. Deputy Marshalls.

Ward is serving time at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility for burglary, theft and convictions on other crimes.
