Marcus Altman pitched a complete four-hitter, allowing just one runs while striking out five and walking three helping the Hays Eagles Senior American Legion to a 3-1 win over Air Academy at the Bubba’s Bash tournament in Canon City, Colorado. The Eagles improve to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the tournament and will play in the semifinals at 2pm (MDT) Sunday.

Cole Schumacher’s RBI single gave Hays the 1-0 lead in the first innings. After Air Academy tied it in the third, the Eagles took the lead back for good on an error on a Layne Downing grounder to short which allowed Connor Rule to score. Kaden Rohr singled to drive home a insurance run in the seventh.

Rohr finished with two hits and also scored a run.
