Another late spring round of precipitation dropped about a half-inch of precipitation on Ellis County late Saturday and early Sunday.

Reports from around the county ranged from 0.44 inches in eastern Hays to a 1-inch report from southeast Ellis County.

Most of Russell County also reported just about 1 inch of rainfall, while Trego County gauges held approximately a quarter-inch of rain.

The skies are expected to be clear on Father’s Day and into the week, with the next chance of rain coming Wednesday.
