Some damage from Saturday night’s storm UPDATE

GOODLAND-Saturday night’s storms brought hail and high winds along with important moisture to many areas of Kansas. Baseball size hail did damage to property in Goodland.

High winds were responsible for doing damage to buildings in Decatur and Thomas Counties.

The Gove County Emergency Manger reported the  J.J. Oil building and Colonial Steakhouse in Oakley were damaged and a 500 gallon fuel tank was blown over 100 yards.

Many areas reported large tree limbs down.

Two semi-truckw were blown off Interstate 70 in Trego County. Two people were hospitalized.

In Barton County, lightning started a hay bale fire near Ellinwood and a grass fire near Dundee. There were no injuries.

Midwest Energy crews are working to restore power in many areas of northwest Kansas. Law enforcement officials are working to get additional details on storm damage.
