Screen Shot 2014-05-20 at 9.53.00 AMOAKLEY — Two people were injured in an Interstate 70 accident on Sunday afternoon  in Logan County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Tayla J. Smith, 28, Carson City, Nev., was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the U.S. 40 junction in the driving lane lane.

The truck veered into the passing lane and was clipped by a 2004 Honda Pilot driven by Anthony J. Balser, 32, Wichita.

The driver of the truck lost control and it began to roll an unknown amount of times coming to rest on its wheels in the median.

The Honda traveled across the driving lane and came to rest in the north ditch.

Smith and a 6-year-old passenger in the truck were transported to the hospital in Oakley. Balser was not injured.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
