Technology will be the focus of discussion at Monday’s Hays USD 489 Board of Education special meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Rockwell Administration Center, and will be followed by the regularly scheduled work session.

The district is considering network improvements throughout the district, with options considered recently ranging from $160,000 to $200,000.

Technology Director Brian Drennon told the board recently that the existing infrastructure is inadequate to serve the growing number of devices accessing the network.

The board is scheduled to accept bids at the special meeting Monday.
