SALINA- A Saline County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a car for erratic driving on Saturday and made a drug arrest.

Authorities reported Shane Sonnier, 25, Salina, was stopped just after 2 a.m. in the 300 Block of south Chicago Street.

Deputies determined Sonnier was driving under the influence and had an outstanding warrant in Lincoln County.

A K-9 unit searched the vehicle and located methamphetamine, a handgun and drug proceeds.

Sonnier is being held on requested charges of D.U.I, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug proceeds, and criminal possession of a firearm.
