ELLSWORTH- A semi-truck driver was injured in a crash just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday in Ellsworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by Cu Wong Peacock, 62, Amarillo, TX., was traveling on Kansas 156 seven miles north of Ellsworth when the truck left the east side of the roadway.

The truck struck an embankment, continued northeast, crossed a creek and came to rest in a pasture.

Peacock was transported to Ellsworth County Medical Center.

The KHP reported she was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
