Thunderstorms could be on the way again tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City.
While most of the day will remain very hot and windy, with a high of 94 predicted, the possibility of severe storms will begin in the evening, mainly after 8 p.m. Nearly all of northwest Kansas is included in the hazardous weather outlook issued by the NWS offices in Dodge City and Goodland.
The NWS said the storms will begin in a line east of a Scott City to Ulysses to Hugoton line in western Kansas. The primary threats from the storm include wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and up to golf ball-sized hail.
The chances for more storms will continue through early next week, with the forecast for Thursday storms warning of the threat of up to tennis ball-sized hail and more damaging winds.
