Teen hospitalized after construction zone crash

Screen Shot 2014-05-20 at 9.53.00 AMATWOOD- A teenage driver was injured in a Wednesday construction zone crash in Rawlins County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported two vehicles were southbound on Kansas 25 seventeen miles north of Interstate 70.

A 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Linda M. Hagler, 30, Atwood stopped in a construction zone for a construction worker. The Explorer was rear ended by a 1994 Mercury Topaz driven by Ashley N. Abel, 18, Hudson, CO.

Hudson was transported to Rawlins County Hospital. Hagler and two children in the Explorer were not injured.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
