6 p.m.  The Kansas Department of Corrections reports escaped inmate Jimmy Reed has been located and is back in custody.  No additional details have been released.

WINFIELD–The Kansas Department of Corrections and Cowley County authorities are searching for a missing inmate from the Winfield Correctional Facility.

According to a media release the KDOC reported Jimmy R. Reed, 29, was discovered missing just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

He is 5-foot-5, 188 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and a brown beard.

He was being held on a parole violation and had been convicted of domestic battery and aggravated sexual battery in Sedgwick County in 2009
