The Colorado 115’s used a one-out triple followed by a single to break a scoreless tie in the fifth inning and defeat the Hays Eagles Senior American Legion 3-0 at the Battle of Omaha tournament Saturday. Colorado loaded the bases with two outs and inning earlier but failed to score. They added two more runs in the sixth.

The Eagles were held to just five hits, two of them from leadoff hitter Kaden Rohr, while striking out 10 times.

Kade Parker takes the loss, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three and walking two.

Hays is now 11-5 overall and 2-2 in pool play.
