A Sunday evening front that pushed through northwest Kansas mostly missed Ellis County, but dumped considerable rainfall in portions of Russell County.
An official report from southwest Russell County showed the gauge at 2.73 inches, with another 2.05 report from the same area.
While there was a report from extreme eastern Ellis County of 0.96 inches, most of the county received just a shower. The Kansas State Ag Research Center reported 0.07 inches.
In Hays, reports ranged from 0.03 inches to 0.1 inches.
In Gove, Logan and Trego counties, there were several reports of a half-inch of rainfall.
