NW Kansas semi driver hospitalized after morning accident

Screen Shot 2014-05-20 at 9.53.00 AMOAKLEY — An Oakley semi driver was injured in an accident just after 5:30 Wednesday morning in Logan County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Peterbilt pulling a tanker trailer and driven by William George Fiedler III, 50, Oakley, was northbound on U.S. 83, approximately 22 miles south of Oakley.  The truck gradually moved over to the shoulder, striking a guardrail.

The truck traveled the entire length of the guardrail, entered the ditch and overturned.

Fiedler was transported to Logan County Hospital. The KHP reported he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
