Two more arrests made in Great Bend drug case

GREAT BEND — Just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Barton County Sheriff’s officers served two arrest warrants in conjunction with the ongoing investigation from last week. Several search warrants were served on June 17, and the latest round of warrants are part of the continuing investigation.

Arrested Tuesday were Kevin Adam Pekarek, 28, Great Bend., who was arrested at 1411 20th Street. The warrant contained eight counts including a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, three counts of child endangerment and possession with intent to sell methamphetamine. Pekarek is being held in the Barton County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Also arrested Tuesday was Stephanie René Crawford, 26, Great Bend. Crawford was arrested at 1438 20th Street. Crawford faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of child endangerment. Crawford is also being in held in the Barton County jail. Her bond was also set at $100,000.

The latest arrests are part of a continuing investigation being conducted by the sheriff’s office. Further action in the case is expected as the case continues.
