The Hays Eagles Senior American Legion moved to 2-0 in pool play at the South Plains Classic in Oklahoma City after a 10-3 win over Edmond Real Tree Thursday afternoon.

After giving up three in the fourth to fall behind 4-3, the Eagles rallied with four in the bottom of the fourth then added four more in the sixth. Connor Rule drove in two in the fourth with a double. Kade Parker also doubled in a run and Zack Legleiter knocked in one with a single. Parker finished with three hits.

Cole Schumacher picks up the win, allowing the four runs on five hits while striking out four and walking five.

The Eagles are now 13-5 on the season and will face Tuttle, Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Outlaws on Friday to close out pool play. Bracket play begins Saturday with the tournament wrapping up on Sunday.
