The National Weather Service is investigating reports of a possible tornado that might have been responsible for damage Sunday morning in Gove County.

Gove County Sheriff Allan Weber said he believes a tornado blew through the area just after 5 a.m.

Emergency management officials said one farm building was totally destroyed and two others were severely damaged during the high winds and rain. A nearby home was not damaged and, as of Monday morning, no injuries have been reported.

The Union Pacific railroad track between Winona and Page City also was washed out by heavy rain in Logan County.
