The Hays Eagles Senior American Legion is state bound for a third straight season after a 4-2 win over Dodge City Tuesday night in the Dodge City Zone tournament.
Kade Parker pitched a complete game three-hitter, allowing just one earned run while striking out nine and walking just two to move to 4-3 on the season.
The Eagles scored single runs in the third, fourth, sixth and ninth innings, overcoming four errors to pick up their 30th win of the season.
Marcus Altman had two hits and drove in two with a single in the fourth and sac fly in the sixth.
The Eagles (30-8) will now play at the “AAA” state tournament which begins July 30th and runs through August 3rd in Pittsburg.
