The Hays Arts Council and Dereama Allenbaugh will present a blues guitar workshop next month, eaturing instructor Andy Cohen, legendary finger-style guitarist and blues historian.

The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Hays Arts Center Annex, 1010 Main.

There is no fee to participate in the workshop, but spots must be reserved. There are only 12 available spots available in the workshop.

This day will consist of three two-hour sessions: theory, licks and fingerboard shapes, and blues repertoire.

There will be a one-hour break for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
