1 killed in Kansas mobile home fire

fire fatalDOUGLASS, Kan. (AP) — A fire broke out at a mobile home in south-central Kansas, killing a 75-year-old woman.

KWCH-TV reports that crews were sent to the mobile home in Douglass early Sunday.

Butler County Fire District Three Fire Chief Jim Woydziak says Lydia Cox died in the blaze. He says she lived in the home alone.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Investigators determined the fire started in the kitchen, but no official cause has been given.
