OZAWKIE, Kan- A Kansas man was injured in a motorcycle accident during a police pursuit just before 11p.m. on Saturday in Jefferson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Harley Davidson driven by Roger A. Heck, 51, Perry was northbound on Hamilton Road four miles southeast of Ozawkie.

The motorcycle left the roadway and struck the guardrail numerous times.

Heck was transported to the hospital in Topeka.

The KHP reported he was not wearing a helmet.
