TOPEKA- A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 8:30 Monday morning in Shawnee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Yamaha V-Star driven by Brian Dean Wilson, 40, Silver Lake, was on the ramp from U.S. 40 to Eastbound Kansas 4 just east of Topeka.

The driver failed to negotiate the left-hand curve, left the roadway to the right and overturned.

Wilson was transported to Stormont Vail.

The KHP reported he was not wearing a helmet.
