Ellis County received yet another refreshing summer rain overnight Wednesday, with reports of up to 0.76 inches southwest of Hays.
North of Ellis, there was a report of 0.62 inches, although most reports from Hays ranged from a tenth to two-tenths of an inch. The K-State Ag Research Center reported 0.3 inches in the gauge Thursday morning.
Most northwest Kansas counties benefited from the overnight front, with the most significant precipitation — 0.93 inches — falling in western Graham County.
The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of additional showers late Thursday, continuing into Friday morning.
