Victoria, Kansas – Dennis L. Denning age, 66, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born August 8, 1948, in Hays, Kansas, to Cyril V. and Annette (LaVoie) Denning.  He married Betty (Weigel) on October 15, 1977 in Victoria, Kansas.

He was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Knights of Columbus both of Victoria, Kansas and the sons of the American Legion Hays, Kansas.

He was a 1967 graduate of St. Joseph Military School and lived a few years in Golden, Co. then returned to Hays.  He worked in the oil fields, Cross Manufacturing and the last five years at Fort Hays State University with the Lewis Field operation staff.  He enjoyed his children’s sporting activates while they were growing up and an was avid Kansas State and Chiefs fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his new granddaughter and family.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Denning, of the home; one daughter, Alicia Kelley and husband, Mike, Alta Vista, KS; one granddaughter, Ava Elizabeth Kelley; one brother, Morris and wife, Janet, Hays, KS; and one sister, Dianne Ream, Hays, KS;

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Justin Thomas Denning (June 16, 2001) and his brother-in-law, Ron Ream.

Services are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis Victoria, Kansas.  Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery Victoria, Kansas.

A vigil service and Knights of Columbus rosary is at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, followed by a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, all at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas  67671.

Visitation is from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. Wednesday at Cline’s Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.
