The Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 12, to provide information about the proposed merger of Fort Hays State University and Dodge City Community College.

Dr. Mirta M. Martin, FHSU president, will give an informational presentation about the proposed merger and will take questions from the audience.

The public is encouraged to attend.

Doors will open for a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Dodge House Hotel and Convention Center, 2408 W. Wyatt Earp. The cost of the meal is $9.99. The meal is optional, and people are welcome to attend the Town Hall Meeting even if they do not wish to eat.

Dr. Martin is scheduled to begin speaking at 12:30 p.m.
