WICHITA- Two people were injured after a police pursuit and crash just before noon in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a stolen 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Taylor Anthony Freeman, 24, Wichita, was being pursued on northbound Interstate 135.

The Pontiac exited the highway at 8th street and continued towards the intersection of 9th and Green, went left of center and hit a 2006 Cadillac SRX head on.

Freeman was transported to St. Francis Medical Center.

The Cadillac driver Preston L. Shaw, 77, Wichita, was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

The KHP reported Freeman was also not wearing a seat belt.
