CIMARRON- The pilot of a crop duster was injured in an accident just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a fixed wing single engine Air Tractor flown by Jon D. Erhart, 61, Dodge City, was spraying north of Cimarron when it hit a guide wire and damaged the left wing.

The Aircraft was able to return to the Dodge City airport where the aircraft crashed upon landing.

Earhart was transported to Western Plains Medical Center.

The KHP reported the aircraft was equipped with air bags and they did deploy.

DODGE CITY- Law enforcement officials are on the scene of a crop duster accident at the Dodge City airport.

Officials say the plane hit a power line in a rural area of Gray County and was able to return to the airport before it went down.

The pilot was transported to Western Plains Medical Center. The Kansas Highway Patrol is expected to release additional details on the accident later in the evening.
